Nomination forms were sent home in February 2020 for the May 2020 election. We only received a small number of nomination forms prior to the COVID-19 shutdown. Therefore, the decision was made at the April 2020 meeting to postpone the May 2020 election. Nomination forms will be distributed in September and the election will be held during the October 2020 PTO meeting.
Parent involvement is critical for a successful school.
Please volunteer as a PTO officer or a committee chair for 2023-2024. There are jobs that take no more than a couple hours a month, some are seasonal, and a few require a routine commitment. Some may also be done from home!
Most roles are only a commitment for a single school year.
Nominate yourself or someone else. Any PTO members in good standing (dues paid for this year) may be considered for nominations.
Nomination Deadline: Friday, April 14, 2023
The Fort Bend ISD Education Foundation’s Angels of Education Auxiliary’s 5th Anniversary Sugar Shindig presented by Pogue Construction on October 25 at Safari Texas, netted nearly $45,000 for Grants to Teachers and Schools. Over 800 guests, including FBISD staff, volunteers and community members, came out to shimmy and shake, while enjoying a live cake auction and a buffet dinner.

Jennifer Morgan
I'm Jennifer Morgan, and I am running for President of the Madden Elementary PTO. I have 2 kids, 6 and 2 years old. I am the current Vice President of the PTO, and am looking to continue my involvement in the PTO.
In the past two years as VP, I have learned a lot about how the PTO works, and what our goals are. I am hoping to use my VP experience to enable me to be a successful President for our organization. I hope to stay a part of the leadership next year as we continue our commitment to the school and its students and staff, while also being a part of trying new things to bring in more and more community involvement
Vicky Rodriguez Vo
My name is Vicky Rodriguez-Vo and I am running for Vice President. I am mother to two girls, Kinder and 3rd grade. I am the current Spiritwear Chair, and an active participant in all other aspects of the PTO including fundraising, volunteering, and planning of events. Next year I am looking to play a bigger role in PTO, with more responsibility and more input to the day-to-day PTO workings. My flexible personal schedule enables me to help the school and PTO at the drop of a hat, resulting in my familiar presence in the halls.
Outside of my Spiritwear Chair duties, this year I secured a Platinum Sponsorship, Carnival Booth, and raffle donations; and volunteered at Book Fair, Kindergarten Art Class, Carnival, Holiday Parties, Kinder Program, Kinder Orientation, school supply distribution and will be at Field Day. I am very active at Madden and I care about the school, its students and staff, and want to do all I can to see it succeed!

Cindel Blackmer
My name is Cindel Blackmer and I am interested in the secretary position for Madden PTO. My son is currently a 3rd grade student at Madden.
As the secretary, my goal is to help build a positive partnership between school and families. School-home connection is important, and I would love to help advocate for parent involvement. Together, families and schools can operate as a team to reach shared goals.
I have been an elementary school educator for 14 years. I have worked alongside school staff and PTO to purchase instructional materials, plan activities, and boost student and staff school culture. Responsibilities at my current job include creating schedules, taking meeting minutes, communicating with parents, taking inventory of materials, and organizing events.

Kate O'Briant
I am Kate O'Briant; have a 3rd and an 8th grade student. I am running for Treasurer or VIPS coordinator.
As I finish my term as President, I am looking forward to continuing to volunteer with the PTO. I am very excited about new initiatives the membership has chosen to pursue, such as the Donation Drive fundraiser, as well as to continuing process improvements we have made in the last few years, such as moving much of our paperwork and documentation online. I would like to continue helping with these and all our other projects as we go into the next school year.
I have been a member of the Madden PTO since the school opened, and have held a number of roles. By running for Treasurer or VIPS coordinator, I am hoping to continue to to contribute to the organization in new ways.

I am interested in assuming the position of Parliamentarian at Madden Elementary so that I may contribute to the important Organization of our school that directly supports our teachers. Supporting our students and teachers is of utmost importance to me as well as my entire family. As former teacher, I always admired and loved how supported we were by PTO and this is my chance to return the favor.
I was an elementary school teacher for 20 years; 16 years in Fort Bend ISD and have been a member of the Madden PTO since the school's opening in 2015. I know the ins and outs of Fort Bend ISD & Madden Elementary and feel that I can be an asset when deciding how to best support our administration, teachers and students.
The 2023-24 PTO budget will be voted on at the meeting on May 9, 2023.
This budget will be significantly impacted by the failure of the VATRE measure in the November 2022 elections, because the PTO will be trying to increase support to the school to replace funds lost from the District. In order for members to have the best opportunity to see the proposed expenditures and fundraising plans, the PTO is making the details available for review and comment.
We would love to have you as a parent volunteer. In order to do so, you'll need to complete a FBISD background check. To initiate the process, click the button below.
Note: If you were a parent volunteer in the past, background checks expire on a yearly basis. Please kindly complete a new background check. FBISD has added the "Middle Name" field as mandatory this year; if you do not have a middle name, please enter None.
